Thickness and camber are set independently (mean-line / half-thickness decomposition), so changing one leaves the other alone. TE thickness opens the section linearly from the LE.
LE at mirrors the section about the origin datum, so the origin still lands on 0,0 and both hands paste into CAD on the same reference. The .dat export is always written LE-left (Selig).
cosine re-samples both surfaces onto a shared LE-clustered grid — cleaner, and required for accurate re-targeting on coarse files. source keeps the file's own stations exactly (best when exporting a foil unmodified).
